About

I incorporate my heritage the Mutti Mutti, Tatti Tatti, Waddi Waddi and Noongar people in my work. I grew up in Robinvale, northwest Victoria and has lived in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland for the past five years. I paint mostly portraits and incorporate traditional Noongar and Koorie designs into my work. My work tells a story of where I come from and who I am. I use the different mediums of digital technology, painting and woodburning. As a young emerging artist, my work is in progress of experimenting with different mediums and styles, researching tradition and trying to find my own signature. ‘…comic artists and free-styling out of my head inspires me.’ My painting of the Indigenous football players was inspired by Dreamtime at the G.

‘I wanted to paint the players who were celebrated in the Indigenous community and ambassadors for the game. It was a challenge that flexed my brain muscles... ‘
